Thank you for taking your time to participate in our online survey! This survey is conducted as part of the Horizon Europe Project 'SCALE-UP', and your input will be used to develop a community-driven, needs-based training programme for bioeconomy development in European rural areas.
The overall aim of the SCALE-UP project is to adapt, implement and evaluate tools to help regional actors to overcome the apparent bottlenecks towards fully exploiting bioeconomy potentials in their region. One way to achieve this goal is to develop and implement a demand-driven training programme and facilitating knowledge exchange across the SCALE-UP regions. This is to build capacity among regional actors, enabling them to identify and promote innovative bio-based solutions (e.g. utilisation of biomass sidestream for cross-sectoral applications).
With the help of the cross-regional approach, SCALE-UP is looking for individual bioeconomy solutions that can serve as best practice examples for other regions. Community-driven solutions that are developed with and for stakeholders in the specific regions have a better chance of being implemented in the future and lead to a sustainable and established bioeconomy.
